Interesting fact

Terahertz takes its name from marketing claims that it emits energy in the terahertz frequency range and carries therapeutic properties — claims with no scientific backing. What's certain is the material itself: a synthetic, silicon-based crystal that grew out of aerospace and semiconductor research before finding a following in the crystal trade for its striking, mirror-dark finish.
